Polish rally legend remembered.

Marian Bublewicz, a cult Polish rally champion who died in a rally accident, would have been 69 this year. A rallying event is coming up, to commemorate him and his rallying spirit, which will happen on August the 24th, a day prior to Bublewicz’s birthday.

Replica & Classic Rally is dedicated to the classic rally cars and their replicas. It does not require sports licences and the stages have been created with the classic cars in mind, to be safe for the cars yet give the drivers the pleasure derived from sporty driving.

The Rally roads lead through Warmia and Mazury and accumulate 130 kilometres. The crews will attend six sporting trials (no longer than a kilometer) and two of them will be staged on the asphalts of Dajtki aerodrome near Olsztyn, while the other four are set around the Expo Mazury in Ostroda. Access roads are to be driven on a regularity basis.

The start/finish is scheduled near the Modernity Museum and the nearby area will host an exhibition dedicated to Marian Bublewicz. More details are coming, so please watch this space.
